The QC Spa, sometimes known as QC NY Spa or QC NY and styled qc ny is a spa on Governors Island in New York Harbor in New York City. When it opened in former army barracks in 2022 following construction throughout COVID, it was the first QC Terme spa located outside of Europe and housed the only outdoor pools open year-round in New York City. In 2024, the spa expanded into the adjacent building and will eventually comprise 100,000 square feet (9,300 m2).

Christiansen transformed his small woodworking shop, which initially sold household products, into a manufacturer of wooden toys. By 1934, he had officially named the company Lego and established its fundamental principles. The business shifted to producing plastic bricks after the acquisition of a plastic moulding injection machine in 1947. Following his death in 1958, the company's management was handed over to his son, Godtfred.

Mohamed Taib bin Haji Abdul Samad (1858–1925), also known as Haji Mohamed Taib was a significant merchant in the early history of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Haji Taib was born in Batusangkar, West Sumatra and moved to Kuala Lumpur at 18 years old. He owned tin mines, plantation land and large numbers of houses and shops mostly in Malay Street (Jalan Melayu), Kuala Lumpur. He was a close acquaintance of Sultan Abdul Samad. In the late of 19th century, Haji Taib was one of the wealthiest merchants and development centre of city, Kampung Baru. He had 10 children, six sons and four daughters. His brother, Haji Abbas bin Haji Abdul Samad, also regarded as prominent merchants in Kuala Lumpur and surrounding area. Today, there is a street named after him in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, known as 'Lorong Haji Taib'.
