: indolin-2-one + NAD(P)H + H+ + O2 \rightleftharpoons 3-hydroxyindolin-2-one + NAD(P)+ + H2O

Indolin-2-one monooxygenase is involved in the biosynthesis of protective and allelopathic benzoxazinoids in some plants.
