At the close of the voting "Un premier amour" had received 26 points, placing France 1st of the 16 competing entries, 13 points ahead of the runner-up . This was the third time France won the contest, having previously won in and , and making it the first country to win the contest three times.

Voting

Every participating broadcaster assembled a jury panel of ten people. Each jury gave three, two and one points to their three favourite songs.
