Daliao District () is a suburban district in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. Part of the Kaohsiung metropolitan area, it has 111,923 inhabitants as of October 2023, making it the 9th most populous district of Kaohsiung. It has an area of 71.04 square kilometers, or 27.4287 square miles, giving it a population density of 1,569 people per square kilometer, or 4,064 people per square mile. It is linked with Downtown Kaohsiung by the Orange Line of the Kaohsiung Metro.

History

Daliao is reported to be the origin of the surname Changchien (張簡), the most common two syllable surname in Taiwan.

After the handover of Taiwan from Japan to the Republic of China in 1945, Daliao was organized as a rural township of Kaohsiung County. On 25 December 2010, Kaohsiung County was merged with Kaohsiung City and Daliao was upgraded to a district of the city.
