Alhambra Valley (, ) is a census-designated place in the Briones Hills of central Contra Costa County, California.

Geography

According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 1.61 square miles (4.18 km), all of it land.

Alhambra Valley first appeared as a census designated place in the 2010 U.S. census.

The 2020 United States census reported that Alhambra Valley had a population of 805. The population density was 498.8 PD/sqmi. The racial makeup of Alhambra Valley was 78.4% White, 1.4% African American, 0.4% Native American, 3.5% Asian, 0.4% Pacific Islander, 4.0% from other races, and 12.0% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 12.4% of the population.

The census reported that 100% of the population lived in households.

There were 308 households, out of which 23.1% included children under the age of 18, 66.9% were married-couple households, 3.9% were cohabiting couple households, 17.9% had a female householder with no partner present, and 11.4% had a male householder with no partner present. 15.9% of households were one person, and 11.0% were one person aged 65 or older. The average household size was 2.61. There were 252 families (81.8% of all households).

The age distribution was 17.6% under the age of 18, 6.6% aged 18 to 24, 16.6% aged 25 to 44, 31.4% aged 45 to 64, and 27.7% who were 65years of age or older. The median age was 53.1years. For every 100 females, there were 95.4 males.

There were 319 housing units at an average density of 197.6 /mi2, of which 308 (96.6%) were occupied. Of these, 93.2% were owner-occupied, and 6.8% were occupied by renters.
