An annual production of 17 billion cubic meters of gas from new fields in Bagtyyarlyk along with 13 billion cubic meters coming from Saman-Depe and Altyn Asyr fields will fill Turkmenistan-China gas pipeline which was inaugurated in December 2009.{{cite news |script-title= ru:Туркмения вручила свои недра Китаю |trans-title= Turkmenistan awarded its resources to China |archive-date= 2011-07-18 |archive-url= https://web.archive.org/web/20110718160555/http://www.kommersant.ua/doc.html?DocID=800274&IssueId=41383 |url-status= dead
